Text Characters

There are four tab views with information concerning text graphics. Each tab view provides access to different aspects of the text.

The example to the left shows the contents of the Graphic Details Inspector when a Text Box is selected. To view this information use the Graphic Details menu command found on the Tools menu of the Main menu.

The details shown will apply to a selected range of editing text. If a text graphic is simply selected but not in the editing mode, the inspecting details and changes will apply to all the text of the text graphic.

The Text Size Tab provides information and control of size, stretch, expand and oblique aspects of the text graphic.

The Text Font Tab view provides information and control of the font, typeface, point size and kerning of the text.

The Text Style Tab view provides information and control of the text style, color and shadow of the text.

The Text Characters Tab view provides information and control of the individual string of characters of the text. The character information includes access to all unicode characters available for a particular font family. This is particular helpful for symbol characters that may not be accessible from the keyboard.

These details apply only to Text graphic objects, they do not apply to annotation text. Annotation text characteristics are controlled via the system font panel.

These lengths are shown in the Units (cm, inches, points, ...) defined for the document on the Scale parameter panel. Each coordinate is the distance from the origin which is defined on the Scale panel and may be adjusted by dragging a Ruler .
