This panel provides a method for making several copies of a graphic (or graphics). The copies are distributed along a line that may be oriented in any direction. The copies are made by clicking the "Duplicate" button after parameter selections are entered.

This panel is reached from the Duplicate Advanced submenu selection found under Duplicate on the Edit menu. The "Duplicate Array" view is selected by clicking the "Linear" tab on the drop down panel.

At least one graphic must be selected for these menu selections to apply. Selected graphics are shown with the modification handles. Use the Selection Tool Palette or the default Arrow Tool to select the graphics for duplication.

The "Copies" numeric text boxes specify the number of copies desired for the corresponding direction. You may type in a number or use the stepper controls to select the number of copies. The value entered is the number of copies added to the drawing, not including the original.

The offset values specify the X and Y distance interval of the copies. The value is entered in the Units of the drawing. A value is changed by selecting the number and typing in a new value.

The copies are made when the "Duplicate" button is clicked. This procedure creates the specified number of copies, in addition to the original.

The scaling parameter specifies a scaling factor that may be applied to the copies as they are created. The number is a fractional number, a value of 1.0 implies no change and 1.1 implies 10% increase in size.

The duplicate sheet applies to an individual drawing. Sheets may be open on multiple drawings. All sheets must be dismissed before you may end the EazyDraw application.

The parameter values will persist after a duplicate action. This makes it easy to experiment. Try a pattern then view the results. If they are not as desired execute a Undo and open the duplicate panel again. The parameters will return as they were used, make a minor modification and repeat until the desired pattern is achieved.
