The Rectangular Creation Cursor is used for drawing shapes that may be specified by an enclosing rectangle. EazyDraw uses this method of creation for several different shapes. The Toolbar buttons for the shapes that use this method are shown below. The Rectangular Creation Cursor becomes active when one of these buttons is selected.
To use the Rectangular Creation Cursor just click and drag. A Rectangle is placed with one corner anchored at the initial mouse down point. The opposite corner follows the mouse drag operation. The appropriate graphic is drawn enclosed by the rectangle. You may move in any direction, the rectangle will flip or mirror to follow your motion. The process is completed when the mouse button is released.
This cursor is also used for drawing square objects that require all sides of the rectangle to be equal. In this case the opposite corner does not exactly follow the mouse. It is constrained to the square geometry and drawn as close as possible to the mouse position.

Don't be concerned if the graphic is not placed and sized exactly as desired during the creation procedure. You may
move or resize
the graphic after creation. Undo and redo always works too. If you need to place the graphic at a particular position, or make it a certain size this may be accomplished after the creation step by using the
Graphic Details Inspector
to modify the specific coordinates and size of the newly created graphic.
