Zoom 100%

The Zoom 100% button restores the screen display to its nominal value. This nominal value is an arbitrary display size, defined as 100%. All other zoom states are defined relative to this value. The zoom value is always shown in the text box at the top of the Zoom Palette.

This button is found on the Zoom Tool Palette . The only way to use this feature is to have the palette visible on the desk top. If it is not visible, use the menu item under the "Views" menu of the Main menu to show the palette.

The Zoom 100% function is performed by clicking the button shown at the top of the page. The document will return to the nominal zoom value.

Particular zoom values may be entered numerically (in percent, not fractions) in the text box at the top of the Zoom Palette.

There is no way o change the display sizes associated with 100%. But if a document is saved, the zoom state is restored when the document is reopened.

Zoom has no relation to the size and presentation of the document when printed. To change the actual size of the document (number of pages) you use Page Layout To change the scale or size of an individual page use Page Setup .

Zoom 100 is a nominal value, with little relation to actual size when printed. If you export at 72 dots per inch, zoom 100 will generally correspond to the size for web graphics. Zoom Calibrate is available to match physical printed sizes.

Undo and Redo work with this action. This can be useful to quickly back a drawing's zoom out the view a larger scene. Then use redo to return to a zoom state focused on some detail of the drawing.
