The Move Image popup menu provides selection of the image that is shown when moving graphics.

The selection depends on the graphics being drawn and personal preference. The best way to choose this parameter is to change the setting and return to a live drawing and move an assortment of graphics using single and multiple graphics selected.

The setting is automatically persistent (remains the same after quitting and restarting EazyDraw) and applies to all drawings.

The popup selections are descriptive and involve using an actual image of the selected graphics and or a bounding dashed rectangle.

If the image is selected a full or partially transparent image of the selected and moving graphics is generated.

If a choice elects the dashed rectangle, the move image includes a partially transparent dashed rectangle that just encloses the graphic or graphics selected.

The "Live Graphic" selection displays the actual graphic(s) during the live move operation. This method will provide an absolutely precise screen depiction of the actual position of the graphic. The "Image" selections will in general have a one or two pixel offset of the displayed image from the final position where the graphic is "dropped" onto the drawing, after the move. This is unavoidable due to the partial pixel anti-aliasing of the original graphic and the required pixel placement and generation of the moving image. If this small "jump" is problematic, use the Live Graphic selection.

The dashed rectangle can enhance responsiveness when working with a large drawing and moving a large number of graphics because the rectangle may be generated more quickly than the full image of all the selected graphics.

The Image selections may be noticeably faster compared to the Live Graphic selection if large numbers of individual graphics are being moved. Generally speaking, the number needs to be in the 1000s before a degradation of responsiveness (for the Live Graphic mode) is noticed.
