Tablet Panel

The Tablet Panel provides parameters that are used to control the behavior of a tablet and stylus.

Please note that a special drawing tablet, or pressure sensing mouse devise is required for these parameters to have effect. If you are using a standard mouse this palette is not of interest.

The company Wacom offers tablet and stylus pressure sensing devices that is used with the controls on this palette.

Action: This popup menu controls the pressure response of the stylus on the tablet.
Min - Max: These parameters work with the tablet pen’s pressure sensing.
Brush and Pencil: These tabs have parameters associated with the Brush and Pencil tools (found on the main tool palette).
Pressure: Pressure sets a sensitive parameter, controlling the responsivity of pressure on the palette. The value for this parameter is best chosen by experiment. The setting is chosen for each individual’s touch with the stylus.

This panel is of interest only if a stylus and tablet is available. It is used to enable response to pen pressure on the tablet.

The software drivers for the tablet may need to be installed. Please refer to the documentation provided by the tablet manufacturer for installation procedures and requirements. There may also be interface setup software provided by the manufacturer, this can effect the actions of the parameters controlled on this palette.
