Zoom Interactive

The Zoom Interactive tool provides an interactive - on drawing zoom method. This interaction scheme allows both in and out zoom with one tool. Upward dragging motion zooms in, and downward dragging motion zooms out.

This button is found on the Zoom Tool Palette .

The Zoom Interactive function is performed by clicking the button shown at the top left of this page. The mouse cursor switches to a "up-down" icon when over the document window. This is the visual clue that the Zoom Interactive function is active. The next mouse click defines the reference for the interactive zoom. Interactive zoom is active while the mouse button down, when the button is lifted the operation completes. Drag upward to zoom in, drag downward to zoom out.

The resulting zoom factor is shown in the text box of the Zoom Palette as interactive zoom progresses. If a specific zoom value is desired, it may be typed in the text box.

It does not matter where you click on the drawing. The reference point for this zoom technique is the center of the drawing, the clicked point is irrelevant.

Zoom has no relation to the size and presentation of the document when printed. To change the actual size of the document (number of pages) you use Page Layout To change the scale or size of an individual page use Page Setup .

Undo and Redo work with this action. This can be useful for a quick check after a the zoom action.
