Easy Look Inspector The Easy-Look Panel provides inspection of layers, groups, and graphics in a hierarchal view organized by painting ("Z") order. The Easy-Look Panel is fully re-sizable. Use the control tab, lower right to resize the full panel. The space allowed for the close-up look and the actual outline table is adjustable with the small "dot" dot control found centerd between these two major elements of the panel.
Near the bottom of the panel a popup menu is provided to manage which drawing is under inspection by the panel. Normally the Eazy-Look panel is used to inspect the "current" drawing showing in the top EazyDraw drawing window. However, it is sometimes useful to inspect a different drawing. The ability to drag and drop graphic elements from the Easy-Look panel is one case where it may be desirable to examine and inspect a drawing other than the current active drawing. For example, the Examine/Inspect drawing may have graphic elements that need to transfer to the current drawing. In this case elements may be easily found on the secondary drawing with the Easy-Look panel and dragged to the current drawing. Use the popup menu at the bottom of the panel to "lock" the focus of the Easy-Look panel on a particular drawing. In this case the Easy-Look panel will show the contents of the targeted drawing, independent of the current active drawing window. Select "Top Drawing" to remove this locked focus and return to normal inspection of the current (top) drawing. A drawing must be open in order to be selected for Easy-Look inspection. The title of the Easy-Look panel shows the actual drawing under inspection. The file name, as saved on the hard drive is shown, if the drawing has been saved. If it is a new drawing that has not been saved, the title of the actual drawing window is shown. Select a graphic element on the Easy-Look table or viewing area, and the graphic element is highlighted on: the drawing, the drawing layer table, and the Easy-Look table view. See the example below. This is a great way to locate graphic element on complex derawings. |
