Easy-Look "close-up" Graphic View

The top portion of the Easy-Look panel provides a "close-up" look for graphic elements selected on the outline table. Multiple selections are allowed, the display area provided is divided evenly according the number of elements selected.;

Select graphic elements on the outline table to see them in the top display area. Use Shift-Click to extend and select a sequential group of graphics. Use Cmd-Shift-Click to add or remove individual selections in the table.

Use the window (lower right) and divider (center dot) controls to adjust the size available for the display of individual graphics.

The Easy-Look panel is accessed from the Easy-Look menu command found near the top of the Format main menu. To examine the current drawing, the popup menu at the bottom of the panel is set to the "Top Drawing" selection. To examine a specific drawing, one that is open, select the desired drawing from the popup menu.

Select graphic elements on the outline table to see them in the top display area. Use Shift-Click to extend and select a sequential group of graphics. Use Cmd-Shift-Click to add or remove individual selections in the table.

To locate a graphic element on the main drawing, click and hold down the mouse on a graphic showing in the in the close-up look view. - Click and hold right on the graphic, top portion of the panel, (not on the text table entry). This will cause the graphic to show and highlight on the main drawing.

When the graphic element locating mode is active, if the corresponding drawing’s Layers Inspector is open, the layer that contains the graphic is highlighted as well.

If the hosting layer for a graphic in the locating mode is not currently visible, the individual graphic (not the whole layer) is shown with slight transparency and grayed on the drawing. The graphic is only shown "momentarily" while the mouse is held down on the represented close-up of the graphic on the Easy-Look inspector.

In the locating mode the main drawing is scrolled to bring the targeted graphic into view. The drawing zoom is not changed, this means a large graphic may only be partially visible. Use the commands found at the bottom of the Gear menu if this behavior is not right for your situation.
