Time Stamp Date Format

This panel is used to specify the format for the date and time of Time Stamps. The order and wording or numbering of year, month, and day may be arranged and specified with the four sets of popup menus provided. The format of the time phrase is chosen with the controls on the right side of the panel.

The Time Format panel is accessed from the Text Main menu, Time Stamp submenu .

The example box at the top of the panel shows the date and or time as it will appear with the current settings.

The prefix and suffix text fields are used to specify specific text that preceeds and follows the date and or time.

The two check boxes at the top are used to include or exclude the date or time. At least one must be selected. The next checkbox below determines which of these components is shown first.

The four pairs of popup menus determine which components of the date are shown in order. The top pair specifing the first component, the next pairs down determine the next component to the right of the date in sequence. A seperator text string may be entered into the the text field immediately to the right of the pair of popup menus.

The Factory Default button is used to return the format to the starting conditions. There is no undo for this action. The action only effects the current Time Format for the panel. Nothing on the drawing is effected with this action.

The Selected button will apply the panel’s Time Format to all Time Stamps selected on the drawing. This action has no effect to the drawing.

The Existing button will apply the panel’s Time Format to all Time Stamps on the drawing. The new Time Format will also be used for subsequent Time Stamps created for this drawing.

The Drawing button will apply the panel’s Time Format to the drawing. The new Time Format will also be used for subsequent Time Stamps created for this drawing. Existing Time Stamps on the drawing are not effected.

Changes made with this panel are persistent. New drawings will start with the last Time Format applied with the Existing or Drawing buttons. This applies for future launches of EazyDraw after quitting.
